Job Summary:

Cordially greets and checks in all visitors, contractors, out-patients, and all other individuals who are not badged employees of CalvertHealth in accordance with established policies and guidelines. Visitor Management Specialists will follow the Guest Management System policy and are expected to learn hospital layout and department locations.

Education:

Position requires a high school diploma or GED or minimum 2 years related experience.

Registration/Certification/Licensure:

None

Experience:

Position requires 0-6 months related experience.

Other Requirements:
-
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

Complete department orientation within 3 months of employment.

Basic computer knowledge with the ability to type.

Practice professional and friendly customer service and communication skills.
-
Ability to problem solve and have good verbal de-escalation skills.

Must work weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 9am-9pm and holidays as needed. These shifts may be split between 6-hour shifts.

Familiarization with the hospital’s layout and department locations.

Understanding of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and hospital regulations.
