Job Description :
Climate United Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (“Climate United”), is seeking a full-time Director of Program Compliance to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive compliance program for our federal grant initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, the Director of Program Compliance will play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to programmatic requirements and statutory obligations, thereby safeguarding the integrity of our grant-funded projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsibility for the development and execution of Climate United’s compliance framework to address programmatic and statutory requirements, including procurement, travel, and compliance with award requirements and regulations.
- Establish and oversee procurement procedures ensuring compliance with 2 CFR 200 and EPA requirements.
- Establish and oversee compliance procedures for reporting and financial assistance to qualified projects.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including accounting, risk management, operations, and legal, to integrate compliance measures into program management processes.
- Lead and mentor a team of compliance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure effective program implementation.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of program compliance controls, identifying areas for enhancement and improvement.
- Stay abreast of changes in federal regulations and grant requirements, and proactively adapt compliance strategies as needed.
- Conduct organizational-wide training on compliance requirements, including procurement, travel, 2 CFR 200, and EPA requirements.
- Cultivate a culture of compliance and ethics within the organization, promoting awareness and understanding of compliance obligations among staff members.
