Your Role:
As a Systems Engineer II, you'll be the architect behind our systems, ensuring that all components - from hardware to software - function seamlessly in alignment with intricate, high-stakes projects. You'll oversee the infrastructure and drive the direction of cutting-edge engineering, all while ensuring everything operates smoothly at scale.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or Engineering Management. (If you've got the experience - 14 years of systems engineering excellence in similarly complex projects, you're in good hands, too.)
- Minimum of 14 years as a Systems Engineer, steering large-scale projects with precision and skill.
What You'll Do:
- Architect the Future: Ensure system requirements are in perfect harmony with established architectures like DoDAF and SOA. You'll contribute to pivotal engineering documentation, including plans, specifications, and detailed system designs.
- Design and Refine: Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams, you'll play a vital role in creating new capabilities, developing systems, and managing budgets. Your insights will help refine both functional and technical requirements.
- Innovative Solutions: Provide alternative system designs, define verification methods, and ensure work breakdown structures align with project goals. You'll drive new system designs and help navigate intricate interface changes.
- Oversee Accuracy and Integrity: attention to detail will ensure all system engineering documents are accurate and comprehensive. You'll maintain integrity in system baselines and manage requirement changes with grace.
- Risk Management and Planning: Assess program risks, manage verification efforts, and keep timelines in check with your meticulous analysis. Supporting the DoD Certification/Accreditation process will be a crucial part of ensuring success.
- Coordinate & Integrate: Take charge of complex system integration activities, making sure all interfaces across teams are covered. You'll also provide technical direction and guide teams to success in dynamic environments.
