Key Responsibilities
- Hair Care Services: Provide a range of salon services, including haircuts, color, perms, washes, sets, and styling.
- Personalized Care: Tailor each service to the individual needs and preferences of our residents, keeping their comfort and dignity at the forefront of your work.
- Client Interaction: Build rapport with residents and staff, creating a welcoming, positive atmosphere in the salon.
- Adaptability: Understand the unique needs of older adults, some of whom may have mild to moderate cognitive impairment and provide services in a respectful and caring manner.
- Chair Provided: A salon chair will be provided by Calvin Community for your use.
- Chair Fee: A 10% chair fee is paid to Calvin Community for use of the salon space.
- Flexible Schedule: This position offers flexible hours, with the expectation of 2-3 days per week.
- Supplies: As an independent contractor, you will need to provide your own supplies.
- Service Pricing: You will set your own service prices, with input from facility management to ensure affordability for our residents.
- Experience: Previous experience working with older adults, especially in a long-term care setting, is preferred.
- Licensing: A valid Cosmetology License and insurance are required.
