CalWest’s client school in the Greater Orange County Area seeks a Instrumental Music Teacher
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in music education or performance from an accredited college or university.
- Min. of 3 years’ experience teaching various grade levels in a K-12 school. An IB school is preferred.
- Experience in the IB framework, especially MYP or PYP and proven understanding of the inquiry-based, interdisciplinary approach.
- Ability to instruct a range of instruments and / or vocal ensembles.
- Familiarity with digital music production software preferred.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends on occasion.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus (internal and external).
- Strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders of the school.
- High energy, self-starter with ability to successfully prioritize and multi-task in an atmosphere in which time sensitive deadlines are the norm, as are interruptions
