Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to oversee and maintain our technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation of our learning management system, eCommerce platform, CRM, and related systems. This role is pivotal in supporting the development and delivery of high-quality educational content, managing integrations, and maintaining system performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:1. System Maintenance and Monitoring:

  • Maintain and monitor the learning management system (LMS) and its custom enhancements.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance of all systems.
  • Oversee and support the eCommerce platform and its integration with the LMS.

2. Infrastructure and Security:

  • Manage server infrastructure to ensure scalability and stability.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols to protect data and systems from unauthorized access or breaches.
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.

3. Integration and API Management:

  • Manage and optimize API connections to ensure accurate and reliable data flow between systems.
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and improve integration processes.

4. Technical Support:

  • Provide Tier 2-3 technical support for system-related issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Assist team members with technology-related challenges involving the LMS, CRM, website, or eCommerce platform.

5. Project Management:

  • Lead or participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, feature rollouts, and platform migrations.
  • Document system configurations, workflows, and best practices.
  • Manage consultants and write specifications for upcoming features.

6. Asset and User Management

  • Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and hardware.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and ensure proper documentation.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as an IT Administrator, LMS Administrator, System Administrator, or similar role.
  • Strong experience with eCommerce platforms and API integrations.
  • Experience with network management (LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Experience with CRM and telephony software
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and tools
  • Proficiency in Linux server administration, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and database management (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Domain management experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional and international teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the education technology or professional continuing education sector.
  • Experience managing Open edX, including xBlock customizations.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and development workflows.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and PHP.
  • Experience with CRM systems integrated with educational platforms.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CompTIA Security ).
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CompTIA Security , or similar.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $56,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
