Calyx Containers has spent the past few years building a state-of-the-art production facility in SLC, UT. We've invested in cutting-edge digital printing technology and have now insourced other major functions in our supply chain; something that we continuously find prospective customers in the cannabis / nutraceutical / supplements / food & beverage industries are looking for. After recently launching insourced flexible packaging production, we're looking for the right teammate to help us market the new Calyx to the world!
The Marketing Coordinator is essential to advancing Calyx’s objectives across Product, Content, and Event Marketing within the cannabis industry. This role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, a strong understanding of Marketing techniques, and a commitment to maintaining a consistent brand voice. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, the Sales Team, and Marketing to oversee content creation, manage digital assets, and support event logistics; all while representing the Calyx brand effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and execute the Marketing Content Calendar, creating and monitoring production schedules for content deliverables.
- Maintain project ownership, status, deadlines, and communication records using project management tools.
- Build and maintain captivating, user-friendly web pages using Umbraco CMS, and assist in the publishing process to ensure a consistent online presence.
- Craft compelling and on-brand Marketing copy for blogs, collateral, ads, social media, and media outreach.
- Collaborate with the Associate Creative Director to develop clear creative briefs that support collaboration with internal and external creative resources.
- Coordinate event scheduling, including managing timelines for creative components, product samples, and booth build to ensure seamless execution at cannabis industry events.
- Manage the shipment and organization of physical inventory, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of product samples, marketing materials, and booth components.
- Provide Sales Enablement support by preparing and distributing Marketing materials, product samples, and digital assets for events.
- Attend regional cannabis industry events to coordinate onsite operations, engage with attendees, represent the Calyx brand, and gather insights for post-event evaluation and improvements.
- Manage Marketing’s digital asset library in HubSpot, ensuring imagery, video, and sales collateral are up-to-date and easily accessible to support Sales Enablement and Marketing initiatives.
- Enhance and maintain Calyx’s digital asset library with light manipulation of imagery and videography for various creative formats.
- Own reporting for key marketing metrics across Content and Events, analyzing performance data and providing insights to optimize campaigns and initiatives.
- Additional responsibilities as directed
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Marketing Coordinator or in a similar role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various departments, vendors, contractors, and freelancers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for representing organizations in public, during media events and trade shows.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, navigate competing priorities, and deliver successful projects on time.
- Excellent computer skills for generating reports, viewing Marketing metrics, extracting data and sharing this information with other team members in project updates.
- Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office, web analytics, and CRM platforms such as HubSpot; experience with project management tools like Asana and CMS software like Umbraco is a plus.
- High attention to detail and solutions-oriented thinking with a desire to solve challenges as you identify them.
- Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to contributing to a culture of open communication and excellence.
- Ability to travel to regional cannabis industry events to support Marketing initiatives and represent the Calyx brand.
- Cannabis industry experience is a huge plus!
