About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Improvement Coordinator I to join our Buckeye Health Plan team for the upcoming HEDIS season. This hybrid role will involve collaborating with internal teams and provider practices to ensure accurate and timely management of healthcare quality data. Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with provider practices to confirm the completion and upload of TRC/MRP (Transition of Care/Medication Reconciliation Post-Discharge) into electronic medical records (EMR).
- Audit medical records to ensure TRC/MRP compliance.
- Handle administrative tasks such as requesting, processing, and tracking medical records.
- Maintain daily performance metrics, including abstractions, record requests, and chart processing.
- Collaborate with internal HEDIS teams and statewide (Ohio) provider groups to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
Performance Expectations:
- Meet daily and weekly targets for record abstractions, medical record requests, and incoming chart processing.
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness in auditing medical records and communication with providers.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word).
- Experience in healthcare, health insurance, or clinical work.
- Familiarity with sending and receiving faxes and emails for record management.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Previous HEDIS experience or familiarity with TRC HEDIS measures.
- Experience handling medical records.
Education & Certifications:
- Required: Associate’s degree or LPN certification.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field; Active RN license.
