Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Administrative Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial report interpretation, mentoring, financial software, regulatory reporting, governmental accounting, accrual accounting, payroll, budgeting, clerk duties, and account reconciliation.
Duties:
- Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations
- Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures
- Perform month-end closing activities such as account reconciliation and journal entries
- Accounts receivable and Accounts payable
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Support budgeting processes by reviewing budgets for completeness and accuracy
- Handle payroll with our 3rd party company that runs all payroll for us.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure financial controls are maintained
- Mentor junior staff members to enhance their accounting skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficiency in financial software applications
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently
- Knowledge of governmental accounting practices is a plus
