What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at CAM Industrial Solutions LLC?
Material Handler 1
This position will primarily be responsible for providing support to Champion X located in Scott, LA. The position will require occasional weekends call-out (including nights) and holidays, while maintaining safe operations.
Perform shipping and or receiving procedures during order fulfillment or inventory replenishment in a safe and efficient manner.
Load and/unload containerized and bulk material from transport trucks, including sampling and obtaining required approval.
Participate in safety meetings, planning committees, TPM, and functions.
Stage drums and totes for loading and shipping.
Apply spill containments and cleanup methods when required.
Comply with all SH&E policies and procedures.
Ensure that all vendors/contractors adhere to plant safety policies.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Perform daily forklift inspections.
Basic/Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
SAP experience (preferred)
Ability to operate a forklift (forklift certified)
Able to operate a computer device either handheld or forklift mounted.
Must have the ability to wear a respirator
Must have the ability to wear fall protection if necessary
All candidates must have the ability to speak and read and write English
Physical Demands
This role is deemed safety sensitive and maybe subject to employer or customer drug screening.
Must have the ability to climb ladders scaffolds and stairs.
