Specialty Combo Pipe Welder

Specialty Welder    Position Summary   Lay out, aligns and welds fabricated, cast and forged components to assemble structural forms   such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings and pipe, according to blueprints and metallurgy.    Primary Responsibilities   Install, modify, and make repairs to pipe, boilers, towers, exchangers, furnaces, and drums consisting of specialty alloys.   Set up equipment and weld either specialty alloys on pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment  Work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications  Product quality work with reasonable efficiency  Perform simple piping installations and repairs  Assist other mechanics Additional responsibilities not listed may be required    Qualifications  Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance industry experience  Must pass weld tests, DISA background check, drug and medical screens Must have current Basic Plus safety card or OSHA 10 or 30   Physical Requirements  Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Grasping, Feeling, Repetitive Motions
