Floor Technician - Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate must have prior or current experience in environmental services as a Floor Technician and a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety for commercial properties.

This is not the type of job where CAM will provide training for this in-house position, as the right candidate must already have at least 1 year experience in floor care.

This role involves performing various floor care tasks, including carpet cleaning, floor cleaning, waxing, buffing, and general custodial duties to ensure that all areas meet our high standards of cleanliness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.

· Execute carpet cleaning procedures using appropriate techniques and equipment.

· Wax, buff, and polish floors to maintain a clean and shiny appearance.

· Conduct regular inspections of floor areas to identify any maintenance needs or safety hazards.

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations while using cleaning chemicals and floor cleaning machinery/equipment.

· Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report and shortages to management.

· Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations within facility.

· Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to requests or concerns regarding floor care.

Requirements:

· Previous experience in environmental services, custodial work, or commercial cleaning is preferred.

· Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and carpet cleaning methods.

· Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to operate various types of cleaning equipment safely and effectively.

· Good physical stamina: must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight, up to 50 lbs.

· Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

· A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Availability:

This in-house Floor Technician employee must be available to work full-time hours each week. The Floor Technician will report to our corporate office (daily) in Torrance and must be flexible with working both day and night shift(s).

In addition, the employee must be solely dedicated to working only for CAM Properties Services, covering the greater Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley, and Orange County territories.

This individual will not be driving our floor cleaning van but must report to our corporate office (daily) to ride along with our senior Floor Technician. Since this position requires day, evening, and night shift coverage, the individual must be available for work during these times.

Hourly Pay Rate: $18/hr. – $19/hr.
