Camano Plaza IGA is looking for friendly, reliable, and customer-focused individuals to join our front-end team as a cashier. As a cashier, you’ll be the first and last point of contact for our shoppers, providing excellent service and ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor
- Operate a cash register, handle cash, credit/debit transactions, and provide accurate change
- Bag groceries and assist customers with questions or concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Follow store policies and procedures, including safety and loss prevention
- Support other departments as needed during downtime
Qualifications:
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
