Job Title: Travel Electroencephalogram (EEG) Technician
Location: Santa Fe, NM 87505
Shift: Day Shift - 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM - 5x8s
Duration: 13 Weeks with possibility of multiple extensions
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel Electroencephalogram (EEG) Technician to join our team for a 13-week contract. As an EEG Technician, you will perform complex EEG and Evoked Potential procedures in accordance with the established standards published by the American Society EEG Technology (ASET). In addition to conducting diagnostic tests, you will be responsible for clerical duties and supporting the overall EEG department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform EEG and Evoked Potential procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Provide high-quality patient care by monitoring and recording EEG signals during testing.
- Assist with patient transfers and ensure their comfort and safety during procedures.
- Operate and maintain EEG equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
- Document results and maintain accurate patient records.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results.
- Assist with clerical tasks, including data entry and managing patient schedules.
- Follow all hospital procedures and protocols to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certifications/Licenses: Certification by the American Board of Registered EEG Technologists (ABRET) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of EEG and Evoked Potential experience preferred.
