Position: Human Resources Specialist

Work Location: Aurora, Colorado 80045
Shift: M-F 08:00 AM to 5:00PM
Duration: 12 months
PAY: $25-$30/HOUR
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
1. Coordinates and administers a variety of human resource functions, programs, and activities such as tuition reimbursement, non-employee on-boarding, and/or training administration.
2. Interacts with employees (in person or via telephone or email) on a daily basis by explaining policies, procedures, and other related information and assists employees to resolve problems or issues.
3. Compiles and processes requests for reports, data, manuals, or other information as it relates to human resource activities or operations; examines documents and computations to determine accuracy, completeness and/or compliance with applicable human resources policies and guidelines.
4. Recommends, develops, and establishes processes, procedures or instructions to meet specific needs and challenges for assigned human resource functions.
5. Attends training sessions to learn concepts, principles, practices and applications of human resources work, studies applicable rules and regulations, and receives instruction in the interpretation and application of appropriate laws, rules, regulations, and procedures.
6. Participates in special projects as assigned and assists in orienting and on-boarding new Human Resource team members. Certification(s): SHRM CP/SCP preferred; SHRM Workplace Investigation Specialty Credential preferred Licensure(s): None Vaccine Policy: Exemptions for seasonal influenza vaccine allowed with completed form submission
Requirements:
3 years of experience performing specialized or technical administrative support work or customer service work. Equivalency: Additional experience can be substituted for the minimum education requirement on a one-for-one year basis
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field may substitute for the experience requirement
Salary : $25 - $30
