Job Title: Travel LPN - Medical Surgical
Location: Summit Medical Center, Hermitage, TN
Start Date: 04/07/2025
Shift: This position offers both day and night shifts.
Shift Hours: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM or 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Job Duration: 13 weeks
On Call: No

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care in a medical-surgical unit, monitoring patients and assisting in daily activities.
• Administer medications, perform wound care, and assist in diagnostic procedures under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
• Perform patient assessments, including monitoring vital signs and observing patient conditions, reporting any significant changes.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including updating care plans, documenting assessments, and charting any changes or progress.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality care to patients.
• Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans, treatments, and patient progress.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures, while maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an LPN in a medical-surgical setting.
• Current LPN license in the state of Tennessee (or compact state).
• BLS through AHA
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate with a healthcare team to deliver optimal care.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays as required for a travel position.
