Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Manage clinical operations, supervising Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs), while maintaining high standards of patient care and satisfaction
- Conduct thorough Health History and Physical Examinations (HPI), provide accurate diagnoses, and develop personalized treatment plans, ensuring patients receive optimal care
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance patient care, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and develop and implement effective medical protocols
- Maintain Board Certification in Family Medicine or become Board Certified within 18 months of hire, staying updated on evidence-based primary care practices through Continuing Medical Education (CME)
Essential Requirements and Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school, current New York State medical license, DEA certificate required for prescribing medications
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family/Pediatric Medicine, CPR certification, and previous experience in family medicine, primary care, or Pediatric settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams
