We specialize in urban gardens with active outdoor living spaces and beautiful, appropriate plantings. As Landscape Architect, you'd work with the Director of Design, meet with clients, design landscapes and produce documentation. Since Cambium is a design-build firm, you'd also have the satisfaction of watching your design come to fruition in physical form while assisting our project managers during construction. Our work is widely respected and has been recognized in publications such as LUXE, Portraits, The Seattle Times, Seattle Met, Greet, Portraits and Northwest Home. Job Requirements : Keen passion for creative garden design in all aspects, ability to collaborate as well as work independently, have a darn good attitude while managing varied responsibilities.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture or demonstrated equivalent.
- Minimum seven years experience in landscape architecture or closely related profession.
- Creative and diverse design ability.
- Proficient design and production skills including hand drawing, CADD, Sketch-up and Adobe Suite. We welcome other skills you may bring to the position.
- Timely and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Very detail oriented.
- Organized and ability to self-manage as well as oversee other landscape architects, designers and intern.
- Attention to and tracking of design budget and deadlines.
- Knowledge of city code and permitting.
- Familiarity with at least some landscape construction techniques, scheduling, material procurement and sub-contractor and vendor contact.
- Knowledge of diverse planting pallet and associated horticultural needs.
- At ease with client contact and comfortable with sales.
- Possible project estimating experience and skills though we have dedicated Estimators and Project Managers who primary tend to these tasks
- Valid Washington State driver's license.
