You MUST be detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, have excellent computer skills and work well in a busy environment. You must possess excellent written and oral communication skills as the Assistant Event Coordinator communicates regularly throughout the entire planning process with the vendors and staff for the Christmas Market. Candidate must be able to manage multiple competing priorities, in addition to being comfortable working with a diverse group of people. Our ideal candidate will be outgoing and have outstanding people skills, as you will be working closely with our vendors and employees to bring the Christmas Market experience to life with thoughtfulness & detailed coordination.
We’re looking for a candidate who loves working with people, solving problems and creating beautiful experiences for guests. This candidate will work alongside the Christmas Market Manager to plan and execute the Cambria Christmas Market while maintaining a commitment to excellence. They must be able to multitask, manage a variety of projects with competing priorities, and work with a large group of people.
Job duties will include:
- Assist in the setup and decor of event infrastructure, including vendor booths, decorations, lighting, and signage.
- Assist with creating the best layout for each booth to display the products.
- Ensuring the most current information is shared across our website and social media platforms.
- Assist with booking and managing entertainment.
- Assist with booking and managing vendors.
- Address vendor inquiries and concerns, and maintain positive relationships with all participants.
- Assist with event logistics, such as coordinating schedules, managing supplies, and overseeing event activities.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of the POS program and be able to troubleshoot and train employees.
