What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Specialist II position at CAMBRIA COUNTY CONSERVATION & RECREATION AUTHORITY?
The Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for carrying out the Conservation & Recreation Authoritys duties and activities as specified and directed by the Executive Director / Assistant Executive Director. These duties and activities include but are not limited to : Maintaining all trails and property owned by the CCCRA, mowing grass, trimming, fence repair, gate repair, maintaining locks and lock boxes, installation of benches, barriers, signs, etc., replenishing brochure bins at trail heads, inspection of trail conditions and / or acid mine drainage passive treatment systems, maintenance of restroom facilities, performing regular routine maintenance of equipment, maintaining storm water infrastructure, and any other duties deemed required by the Executive Director / Assistant Executive Director and Authority Board with duties relating to the day to day operation of the Authority and its properties.
- Make field inspections of the trails and greenways owned by the Authority for any maintenance or safety problems that may be present;
- Make field inspections of acid mine drainage passive treatment sites for any maintenance or safety problems that may be present;
- Assist in coordination of volunteer efforts for maintenance, construction, etc. for projects of the Authority;
- Assist in the development of various plans, reports, evaluations, etc., pertaining to maintenance items as necessary and as directed by the Executive Director / Assistant Executive Director;
- Maintain a daily activities log;
Any other tasks as determined and directed by the Executive Director / Assistant Executive Director.
The Maintenance Specialist schedules own time and work load demands except where specific assignments are made by the Executive Director / Assistant Executive Director.
