Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of Heating and AC and general maintenance practices. The Maintenance Technician will also play a key role in supervising maintenance projects and leading efforts to improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform electrical repairs and maintenance, including troubleshooting using an ohmmeter.
- Fabricate and weld components as necessary to support repairs and improvements.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Supervise maintenance staff during projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Execute residential painting tasks as needed to maintain aesthetic standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs performed and materials used.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules with minimal disruption to operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A background in plumbing is appreciated
