Duties
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and procedures.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during treatments and examinations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennels and treatment areas.
- Prepare animals for surgery, including administering medications as directed.
- Collect samples for laboratory testing and assist with diagnostic procedures.
- Provide basic grooming services such as bathing and nail trimming.
- Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and post-treatment instructions.
- Manage front desk tasks including scheduling appointments and handling client inquiries.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a veterinary technician or in an animal care role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry practices and animal anatomy.
- Proficiency in dog handling techniques and overall animal handling skills.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
