What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lamination Operator - 2nd Shift position at Cambria?
This position is responsible for daily output of finished product including but not limited to stone fabrication of mitered and laminated countertops.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn and apply the concepts of Cambria Lamination work as outlined in the Lamination SOP’s
- Utilize a handsaw or grinder to complete finish cuts on fabricated pieces
- Willingness to work with an adhesive bonding glue
- Perform quality checks on finished pieces
- Utilize overhead crane to move large finished pieces
- Inspect the overhead crane on a daily basis
- Interpret blueprints and sketches to plan, set up, and operate lamination equipment
- Cross-train on multiple types of equipment
- Perform all required documentation with detail and accuracy
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Conduct all job related duties in a safe and responsible manner
- Attend work daily, be punctual, and work the duration of a shift
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience with stone fabrication
- Carpentry experience, primarily finish work
- Experience in building, repairing cabinetry and cabinet-making
- Experience working with cabinetry and trim work, making detailed, angled and mitered cuts
- Experience using handheld tools
- Experience in blueprint reading
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Excellent eye for detail is essential
- Ability to read and write all required information, including blueprints
- Excellent organizational skills
- Sense of urgency in completing work
- Proficiency with basic mathematics
- Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends on short notice
- Ability to work rotating and off-shifts as needed.

Physical Requirements:
- Work at varying heights, including on the rooftop of the buildings
- Lift up to 60 lbs.
- Push/pull 100 lbs.
- Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria
- Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
- Work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions
- Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift
- Bend over multiple times throughout shift

Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $17.15-$24.00. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
