Program Description:
Vacation camps:
February Vacation Camp is an in-person, STEAM-focused cooking program for campers ages 10-14 during February vacation week.
Dates: February 17, 2025 - February 21, 2025
Time 8:30AM-3:00PM
April Vacation is a week-long introductory art camp designed for campers ages 10-14, where imagination knows no bounds! Throughout the week, campers will explore visual and theater arts, learning techniques in painting, drawing, and crafts, while also discovering the fundamentals of acting and storytelling.
Dates Tuesday, April 22, 2025 - Saturday, April 26, 2025
Time 8:30AM-3:00PM
**All staff must attend a virtual informational and preparation meeting before the camp session. You must be available for the entire vacation week but you do not have to work both vacation weeks.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
- Facilitate camp activities to achieve program goals.
- Administer pre and post-camp assessments for campers
- Ensure and maintain a safe environment for campers and staff
- Manage challenging behaviors if shown by campers at the camp or the partner site
- Complete weekly observation form for campers assigned to you
- Respond to correspondence from administration staff within 24hrs
Required Skills and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree or in the pursuit of a bachelor is preferred
- Experience working with K-12 age children
- Experience or interest in working with children with special needs preferred
- Ability to participate in all activities of camp
- Experience working with middle school children is preferred
- Understanding of trauma-informed behavioral management approaches is preferred
- Cultural literacy and experience working with families and children of multi-racial, multicultural, and multi-ethnic backgrounds are preferred
