Job Summary
The Home and Community Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions to enable clients to remain in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Reports observations of client condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager, with immediate notification of incidents or accidents
- Drives safely, adhering to traffic regulations, and wears a seatbelt during business travel
- Provides or assists clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, dental care, nail care, skin care, and transferring patients
- Assists with essential household tasks directly related to clients' personal care
Requirements
- Six months experience in home care preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet identified patient needs
- Capacity to function in any home situation, regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the patient
- Able to work independently, multitask, and possess strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
- Strong commitment to the organization's goals, mission, and philosophy, with ability to adapt to changing needs
