Role Responsibilities:
- Performs standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations.
- Follows standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments.
- Technical adequacy of routine work is reviewed upon completion; non-routine work may also be reviewed in progress.
- Performs one or a combination of the following typical duties:
- Following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts; may service or repair simple instruments or equipment.
- Conducts a variety of tests using established methods.
- Prepares test specimens, adjusts and operates equipment, and records test data.
- Points out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observed errors.
- Extracts engineering data from various prescribed but non-standardized sources.
- Processes data following well-defined methods, including elementary algebra and geometry.
- Presents data in the prescribed format.
- Must possess an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Formal electronics training from one of the following:
- Technical School
- Class A or B military school in electronics or communications
- Four (4) year electronics apprentice program
- Installation Tasks:
- Soldering
- Cable Dressing
- Cable Tray
- Conduit
- Making/Repairing Connectors
- Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
- 3-10 years of practical experience in:
- Electronics repair
- Electronics maintenance
- Electronics checkout
- 2-8 years of practical experience in electronics installation
- In rare/some occasions, overnight travel may be required.
- Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements. If this position requires OCONUS travel (listed above), Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil lists applicable current vaccination requirements by location.
- Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
- Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
- May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
