Warehouseman

Purpose:

Perform a variety of functions that include receiving and processing incoming material, preparing material to be shipped, and managing/organizing material within the warehouse.

Essential Functions:

· Prepare and complete orders for shipping according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)

· Identify all material to be loaded with BOL

· Receive, inspect, and process incoming material. Report any damaged material to manager before accepting.

· Identify all received material with packing slip, tag material, store in designated location

· Cut material with metal saw per customer requirements

· Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations

· Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers

· Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment including but not limited to forklifts

· Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times

· Wear the proper safety equipment

· Special assignments as assigned by supervisor

Required Tools:

· Metal saw

Physical Requirements:

· Walking or standing 80% of the shift

· Some lifting, bending, pulling, and pushing required.

· Lifting up to 50 pounds

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) preferred but not required

· Must be able to operate forklifts and cranes

· Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed

· Must be able to work multiple shifts as needed

· Read micrometers, calipers and other measurement devices

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Basic computer skills

· Manufacturing experience preferred

Pay: Up to $23.34 per hour
