Essential Functions:

- Ensures compliance with patient safety standards in perioperative services, sterile processing and specialty clinic in accordance with regulation entities and professional organizations including, but not limited to: CMS, DHHS, CDC, AORN, IAHCSMM, AAMI, and SGNA
- Ensures appropriate staffing levels, equipment, and supplies are available for perioperative and specialty clinic services.
- Ensures departmental compliance with organizational policies and procedures and regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Ensures the nursing process is the foundation of providing an individualized plan of care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures
