The Opportunity:
The Cambridge Rindge and Latin School seeks an ICTS Support Specialist to join our caring and innovative community. The successful candidate will have experience supporting students with technology, both technical and instructional. Please note that this is a limited duration assignment available through no later than June 30, 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a Student Helpdesk available to students before, during and after school for all technology related needs
- Collaborate with the CRLS Instructional Technology Specialists to ensure students and staff effectively utilize technology as a resource for teaching and learning
- Assess student device (Chromebook) issues and relay any repair/replacement requests to Deans and CRLS Technology Support Technicians through Helpdesk
- Support students with online account credentials
- Coordinate Chromebook distribution for new students and those not distributed over summer
- Serve as a liaison for technical support and repair between CRLS and ICTS department
- Collaborate with CRLS Technology Team on school-based student technology training
- Attend regular meetings of the CRLS Technology Team
- Assist with the implementation of the Acceptable Use Policy for students
Your Skill Set:
As the incoming Student Technology Technical Assistant, you will possess many, though perhaps not all, of the following characteristics and qualifications:
- Experience supporting a 1:1 student Chromebook deployment
- Experience working in an urban high school
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with a diverse staff and student body
- A strong work ethic, alongside a commitment to doing whatever it takes for students to excel
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced school environment
- Experience with developing and leading a student-run Helpdesk
- A positive, upbeat personality and good sense of humor
Salary: $57,204.97 - $67,532.35 annually, will be prorated for time worked.
