Position Overview:

You'll have the flexibility to choose the hours that work best for you, with options typically available from 1 PM to 9:30PM, 2 PM to 10:30 PM, or 3 PM to 11:30 PM. Job Responsibilities:
• Weekly cleaning, organizing, and auditing of the medication carts and medication room to ensure compliance.
• Performing all tasks related to household medication cycle fill.
• Checking inventory of medication carts and medication room and regularly re-ordering anything not on cycle fill.
•Facilitating communication between Clinical Care staff and Management Team to ensure all communication is received/delivered by/to the Clinical Care Assistants and Management Team.
• Assisting with resident admissions and discharges, ensuring medication cart compliance.
• Assisting fellow team members in maintaining a clean, homelike environment that is free from hazards by tidying up spaces, cleaning up after residents, and ensuring that they always look presentable.
• Performing daily rounds to monitor and evaluate resident care, proper medication storage area, equipment, etc.
• Providing mentoring, training, and oversight to the clinical care staff as their job responsibilities increase.
• Ensuring that medical and clinical care is administered in accordance with the resident's wishes and per the ISP.
• Monitoring that employees are self-auditing for compliance of tasks prior to the end of their shift.
• Monitoring staff to ensure proper walk-through shift reports are being completed.
• Assisting all outside providers with answering questions while at the community to ensure all major concerns are addressed.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of all resident care information.
• Obtaining specimen samples as directed by the Director of Clinical Care or designee upon order from physician.
• Ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect and resident rights are maintained.
• Supervising and reviewing the medication and equipment (O2 tubing, masks, etc.) ordering.
• Evaluating and supervising resident care, assessments (weight, skin, etc.), and medication passes as needed.
• Following Infection Control policies and procedures, as well as tracking all infections for residents and staff.
• Completing proper documentation in electronic medical record.
• Showing up for work on time and help to enforce the appropriate call-in procedure when necessary.
• Maintaining a high standard and professional dress attire.
• Attending all mandatory staff in-services.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• A valid Medical Assistant Certification preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in an assisted living or healthcare setting
• Additional education in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 1year of managerial experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting
• CBRF Registry, CPR/AED certified, and Alzheimer’s/Dementia care experience preferred, but not required.
