Job Summary
The timely and effective preparation of foods for patients, employees and visitors to appropriate hospital standards.
Responsibilities
- Accurately determine the quantities of food to prepare. Complete production worksheets and documentation.
- Standardize and develop new recipes.
- Prepare foods for patients, employees, visitors, and special functions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Inspect food stations and equipment to ensure that proper sanitary and safety regulations are enforced.
- Orient and train new employees as assigned.
- Assist in patient satisfaction goals.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact)The employee must possess / obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages.
