Job Summary
Provides professional recruitment services for System physicians, allied health providers and residents ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state laws. Collaborates successfully with internal and external stakeholders to manage the end-to-end recruitment process. Proactively sources candidates using a multitude of methods including internet sourcing tools, networking, career fairs, academic institution outreach, and targeted ad placements. Successfully articulates an employee value proposition for positions and specialties for the System.
Responsibilities
Execution
Coordinates the development and execution of strategic and comprehensive physician, allied health professional and resident recruitment plans in accordance with the needs and goals of the hospital system. Develops effective recruitment strategies and campaigns using multiple methods to generate candidates for targeted medical specialties locally, regionally and nationally as needed. Executes screening processes for candidates and serves as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the employment process. Coordinates candidate and resident site visits to include tours of the hospital(s) and community(ies) as applicable during the interview process. Coordinates meetings between candidates and residents and hospital system administration, key medical staff members and other key personnel. Coordinates and delivers physician and allied health provider orientation during the on boarding process.
Collaboration / Communication
Maintains open and responsive communication with hospital system administration, physician services personnel, employment candidates and residents. Proactively communicates progress and status of provider recruitment. Develops appropriate communication and relationships with external sourcing agencies as directed. Collaborate as directed on the contracting process with external sourcing agencies for timeliness of the recruitment process.
Quality / Compliance
Ensures compliance with recruitment processes for candidates ensuring fair employment practices and compliance with federal and state laws. Ensures due diligence is completed on each candidate for employment (i.e. references, criminal background check, drug screen) and appropriately advises hospital system administration of areas of concern regarding a candidate. Active engagement in in-services, staff meetings and self-education and maintain job knowledge through appropriate continuing education and competency assessment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Light Work : Frequent lifting and / or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. with a maximum lifting of 25 lbs.
Two years of progressively responsible human resources experience. Demonstrated ability to effectively source and develop recruitment strategies; interview and assess applicant's qualifications; monitor and analyze recruitment metrics; effectively communicate with candidates and stakeholders within the system. Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate a candidate's employment experience. Familiarity with medical specialties preferred or demonstrate ability to acquire such knowledge. Preference given to prior experience in the health care or recruiting fields. Proficiency of Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new software applications.
