Certification Details
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- Physical Therapy Assistant
- 5x8 Days 8a-4:30p
- Orientation is every other week on Mondays - oriented in department unit first day
- Shift: 0800-1630 M-F (mgr could shift their schedules WED-SUN or TUES-SAT same hours if interested)
- Ratios: 16 Units of Treatment a day
- 1 Year Minimum Experience Required
- Travel Experience Required (will consider first time traveler if candidate's specialty experience is strong)
- Acute Care Hospital Experience Required
- Weekend REQ based upon what schedule you choose (i.e. M-F: no weekends)
- No Float Requirement
- No On-Call Requirement
- 100mi. Radius Rule (75-99mi. can be sent for facility approval)
- Pending State License accepted: Can submit with pending license but must have active WV license in hand to start assignment
- Guaranteed Hours: 40hrs
- Department Details: 390 bed acute care hospital with heart surgery, orthopedics, and medical patients. Follow Physical Therapist's POC. Adult & Geriatric patient population;
- Special Requirements: Acute Care Facility Experience
- General Skill Requirements: Home Exercise Programs; Lifting & Transfer; Pt Family Education; Safety & Injury Prevention; Billing
- Equipment/Device Experience Required: Bed Alarms; Call Lights; Crutches; Gait Belt; Hospital Bed; Rolling Walker; Sit to Stand Lift; (Preferred - Hoyer Lift; Lower Extremity Prosthetics; Sliding Boards; Soft/Hard Collars; Specialty Beds; Supplemental O2)
- Assessment Experience Required: AROM/AAROM/PROM; Arousal & Attention; Assistive Devices; Body Mechanics; Identifying Environmental Barriers; Pain Assessments; Sensory Response; Strength Testing; Vital Signs
