Director of Media Planning & Activation
Location: Greensboro, NC (Hybrid)
Position Type: Marketing


Overview:
Come be a part of the marketing transformation at Camco! We are looking for a passionate and results-driven
Media Planning & Activation Director to lead the communication strategy and activation for Camco. The ideal
candidate will have a deep understanding of the media landscape, exceptional marketing skills, and a proven
track record of implementing successful omni-channel strategies that drive consumer engagement, revenue
and brand preference. They will be responsible for driving media innovation leveraging market research and
insight generation to support business growth initiatives for Camco.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Communication Planning Strategy: Oversee total communication planning (Paid/Owned/Earned) and execution for all channels with a distinct focus on Amazon Ads, Influencer/Affiliate and Social to generate demand, preference and conversion for Camco product solutions. Ensure alignment with overall marketing goals by sales channel (Amazon, retailer, dealer, DTC) and product category.
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Creative to develop marketing briefs and execution of media strategies that drive audience engagement and conversion. Ensure media and creative messaging, audience targeting, and execution aligns with overall business goals.
  • Performance Optimization: Implement and manage media testing strategies across all channels, analyzing results and optimizing for performance and efficiency.
  • Audience & Messaging Strategy: Partner with Brand Marketing and Creative to refine audience segmentation and messaging strategies, ensuring the right audiences are targeted with the right content to accomplish the business objective.
  • Partner with Insights, Data and Analytics leader to develop a marketing ROI model.
  • Data & Reporting: Ensure media investment is optimized to meet business goals. Provide regular reports on media performance and key metrics to leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience in media strategy and execution across broadcast and digital channels.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect and other retail media networks.
  • Strong background in full funnel marketing managing SEM, Paid Social, YouTube/OLV/CTV, Display &
  • Audio campaigns as well as Affiliate and Influencer Marketing
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with creative teams and external agencies.
  • Expertise in performance optimization, media testing, and audience strategy.
  • Experience building a marketing tech stack to enable cross channel activation, measurement and optimization.
  • Knowledge of consumer privacy regulations and 1P data governance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
