Location: Greensboro, NC

Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Switcher to join our team. The Switcher will play a crucial role in facilitating the smooth operation of our [insert relevant department or area]. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate switcher equipment to move trailers within the facility safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other team members to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of switcher equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating switcher equipment and moving trailers.
• Maintain accurate records of trailer movements, including logging trailer numbers and locations.
• Assist with loading and unloading trailers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report any issues or concerns related to equipment or operations.
• Participate in training programs to continuously improve skills and knowledge of switcher operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including switcher equipment and surrounding areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience operating switcher equipment required.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to switcher operations.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as climb in and out of switcher equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
• Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures.
