We are seeking a detail-oriented packaging associate to join our team at our paint manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for packaging paint into finished product cans and managing the movement of these cans throughout the warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Operate packaging machinery to fill paint cans with the correct product and quantity
- Inspect filled cans for proper sealing, labeling, and overall quality
- Safely move packaged paint cans throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety
- Follow all company guidelines and safety procedures related to paint handling and packaging
- Assist in inventory management by accurately counting and reporting stock levels
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain workflow
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 55 pounds) regularly
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and inventory counts
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting
- Mechanical knowledge or aptitude (preferred but not required)
- Familiarity with forklift operation or willingness to obtain certification
