What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Educator position at Camden Area Health Education Center, Inc.?
Camden Area Health Education Center is looking for an individual who has knowledge, experience and the ability to work with African-American and Latino-American Young Gay/Bisexual Men. This position requires the Health Educator to undergo intense, specialized training to work with this population in providing health education, counseling and cultural-competence based services to minority males 17-40 years of age.
The successful candidate will have familiarity with the LGTBQI population’s social issues and specific needs to advocate and manage in today’s society are necessary skills for this job. This candidate will show a strong knowledge of existing program and services for the targeted population, both in Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia. Outreach and recruitment in this program focuses on getting LGTBQI to know their HIV and STI status and PrEP options. Flexible hours are required along with the ability to work evenings in operating the program’s Drop-In Center.
Additionally the successful candidate will be working with other high risk populations in providing information on PrEP medications.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
