The surgical technician extern is a temporary position for surgical technology students to provide intraoperative care to select surgical patients in the peri-operative setting by functioning as the scrub person assisting the surgical team during an operative procedure. Assists other perioperative team members in the care of the surgical patient. *Must be currently enrolled in a surgical technologist program*
