POSITION: MAGISTRATE JUDGE PART-TIME
LOCATION: MAGISTRATE COURT
ANNUAL SALARY: $16,276.33
POSITION SUMMARY:
Magistrate judges provide a full range of judicial services which include presiding over civil cases, ordinance and deposit account fraud court calendars, first appearance and criminal bond and preliminary hearings. Magistrate judges also assist law enforcement agencies with the issuance of arrest and search warrants. Applicants must be able to deal with a wide range of people in a courteous, professional manner under circumstances which are sometimes stressful. The position requires being able to regularly exercise the powers of a magistrate after hours, as well as on assigned weekends and holidays.
