MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Georgia driver’s license

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Primary function is maintenance of school system grounds
• Maintains confidentiality and professionalism regarding student and school system affairs
• Maintains clean and organized work vehicle
• Maintains all equipment and tools
• Is responsible for ensuring vehicle is serviced and all safety features are properly working
• Safely loads, unloads, and secures all equipment, tools, and other items to be transported, either by vehicle or trailer
• Is responsible for procuring and returning material from/to stock
• Requisitions needed materials not stocked
• Reports immediately safety hazards which affect the welfare of students and system employees
• Maintains safe work site
• Lifts 70 pounds individually or moves objects up to 140 pounds with assistance
• Is able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, feel, talk, hear, crawl, and have depth perception
• Works indoors and outdoors with exposure to weather including cold, heat, wet, and high humidity
• Follows written and oral instructions
• Trouble-shoots and makes minor repairs in electrical problems
• Trouble-shoots and makes minor repairs in plumbing problems
• Does framing work and hangs sheetrock
• Makes minor repairs in floor covering, suspended ceilings, gutter, concrete, door hardware, and/or masonry
• Reads electrical drawings
• Performs other such duties as assigned from time to time
