Job Description: Operates various pieces of equipment and vehicles in the construction and maintenance of Camden County streets, roads and bridges. On call 24 hours a day for emergency services. Operates a road grader and/or backhoe, excavator, high lift, wheel loader, chain saw, dump truck and pick-up trucks, rollers, pavers, mowers, in the construction and maintenance of Camden County streets, roads and bridges. Operates equipment to patch old pavement, install pipes, remove poor subgrade soil, debris and finish grade, and level asphalt. Performs supervisory duties on various job sites within designated area. Drives a truck as needed to haul rock, asphalt and dirt. Operate snow plow and spread pea gravel/salt for snow removal operations. Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs to equipment and vehicles such as fueling, oil changes and cleaning. Performs other duties as assigned.
