I have a Hybrid opportunity in Dallas, TX, for a Data Engineer to join an organization that's redefining SaaS business management software for small businesses. Now, they’re ready to turn their untapped data potential into a goldmine of insights and they need a data expert like you to lead the charge.
Your Role:
• Serve as the company’s go-to Data Engineer, the first in this newly created role.
• Analyze, structure, and manipulate unstructured data within a Postgres database on AWS.
• Create ERP-style reports and deliver data-driven insights for Sera’s internal operations and its platform clients.
• Write SQL queries and build detailed reports that unlock key business metrics.
• Provide valuable, actionable insights for leadership, customers, and end-users, driving better decision-making.
What You’ll Need:
• 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or similar role (3-5 years of experience may be considered for exceptional candidates).
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including advanced query writing.
• Ability to analyze and manipulate unstructured data into structured, actionable insights.
• Prior experience creating ERP-style reports that influence business decisions.
• Familiarity with Postgres and AWS is highly valued.
Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Have):
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of AWS environments.
• Familiarity with Postgres.
