Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst supports all aspects of fund and asset management including daily pricing, capital and reposition projects, and investment fund management, along with all necessary reporting. The Asset Management Analyst reviews price recommendations daily while monitoring demand forecasting and price response to understand the recommendation for each community. This role is also responsible for monitoring asset performance and recommending a strategic and tactical resolution to performance issues. In addition, this position supports various special ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed.
This individual works closely with Finance, Real Estate Investments, Accounting, Construction/Facilities, Marketing, and on-site Operations teams to adequately support the needs of the department. The Asset Management Analyst, from time to time, may assist other departments with reporting and ad-hoc analysis.

Essential Functions:
Coordinates, executes, and reports on reposition efforts
Updates monthly capital expenditures schedules for all Camden communities and support Facilities during the quarterly capex reforecasts and yearly capex budget processes
Provides ongoing analysis of assets in the Fund’s portfolio including the review of monthly operating results and Fund level performance for external reporting and internal analysis
Assists with preparing the Fund quarterly investment reports to distribute to joint venture partners
Collaborates with Real Estate Investments and Investor Relations to maintain Market Analysis reports and provide market recommendations through quantitative and qualitative research
Performs asset sensitivity analysis to support strategic portfolio and capital allocation decisions
Provides support (primarily performance and other financial data) to leadership for ongoing and ad-hoc analysis or presentations
Understands YieldStar’s pricing principles
Independently reviews and accepts floor plan pricing at communities and communicates with operational teams concerning asset pricing decisions
Monitors asset performance to market and REIT peers and recommends strategic & tactical resolution to performance issues
Leads monthly regional revenue meetings with operations to discuss revenue performance and strategic direction
Assists with monthly review of financial statements and variances
Assists the Business Support Center with Yieldstar and Performance Analytics support
Provides training support to operations as needed
Assists with ongoing revenue budgeting and forecasting processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a concentration in Real Estate, Finance, Economics or Accounting; Master’s degree preferred
2 to 4 years of experience preferred
Experience with Yieldstar, revenue management, and Performance Analytics is a plus
Experience in real estate valuations, real estate operations, or portfolio and asset management with a specific focus on real estate preferred
Must be self-motivated and have a strong team player mentality
Proven record of reliability and accuracy
Financial modeling skills and systemic problem solving techniques highly desired
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel & Outlook
Understanding of database structure and SQL query proficiency is a plus
Basic knowledge of statistics and forecasting preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Will use some repetitive motion of hand-wrist in using computer and writing

May require long hours and odd schedules (including weekends)
