Responsibilities
- Ability to operate a steel shear machine
- Attention to Detail is a must!
- Capable of reading a tape measure
- Responsible for the proper measuring and quality control of all steel cuts and bundles.
- Operate overhead crane to load and unload material
- Operate a forklift to load and unload material
- Check tags to ensure proper bundles are being placed on the right truck
- Keep area clean by placing scrap and trash in proper bins
- Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, cranes etc.
Skills
- Experience as a Steel Shear Operator
- Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, overhead crane)
- Strong communication skills
- Dexterity and attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
