Job Title: MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN
Reports to: ENGINEERING TEAM LEADER
Job Summary: This role will be primarily responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing Production equipment. The technician will develop and implement the maintenance programs necessary to ensure the short-term and long-term reliability of all equipment, as well as lead the effort to optimize maintenance costs, maximize equipment availability and reduce unsafe conditions.
Job Responsibilities:
· Reading CAD drawings to determine the placement of equipment
· Install or assist in the installation of new equipment, including proper layout and alignment.
· Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, hydraulic and/or pneumatic components in manufacturing equipment.
· Perform basic welding duties, fabricating fixtures, jigs, guarding, etc. as needed.
· Comply with company and customer regulations and policies.
· Maintain parts inventory.
Qualifications And Experience:
· 3 year’s prior Mechanical experience.
· Minimum High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
· Candidate MUST be a self-motivated and detail-oriented person with high drive to be able to adapt to changing situations daily.
· Must be experienced in welding and fabrication techniques.
· Basic understanding of single or three phase electrical.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal, and planning.
· Organizational skills a must.
