About This Role
The Mountain Operations (Snowmaking) Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of snowmakers and grounds maintenance staff to ensure the resort's trails are well-maintained and guests have an enjoyable experience. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.


The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Oversight of the snowmaking crew and grounds maintenance staff.
  • Ensuring efficient snow production, grounds keeping, snow removal, and trail maintenance.
  • Developing and implementing safe work practices for their department.
  • Maintaining equipment, snow guns, and hoses.
  • Starting and stopping snow guns according to the snowmaking plan.
  • Working safely around high-pressure water and compressed air pipelines.
  • Navigating steep, snowy, and icy slopes throughout your shift.
  • Digging and shoveling snow as needed and assisting other departments when necessary.
  • During off-season duties may involve snowmaking maintenance, grounds maintenance, mountain construction, and water park set-up and tear down.

Requirements
A minimum of 3 years' experience in snowmaking and/or mountain operations is required. You must be at least 18 years old and able to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts during peak seasons. Leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
