Overview
We are seeking an experienced, professional, and motivated Front of House Manager to lead our team of 5-6 bartenders in delivering exceptional service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a commitment to maintaining high moral and professional standards in both service, operations, and logistics. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of the front of house operations while fostering a positive environment for both staff and customers.
Duties
- Oversee daily front of house operations, ensuring a high-level of accuracy, customer service and guest experience.
- Train, mentor, and supervise front of house staff.
- Develop and manage shift schedules for front of house staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels for all business days.
- Work closely with kitchen management to ensure seamless communication between front of house and back of house teams.
- Conduct interviews, recruit new team members, and participate in the hiring process to build the strongest team possible.
- Monitor inventory levels of bar & beverage supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Address guest & staff inquiries, and resolve any issues promptly to ensure business operations run at a high level of efficiency.
- Implement & complete training programs and cleaning days for staff as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in hospitality management or a similar role within the restaurant/bar industry.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in personnel management and team development.
- Familiarity with common foodservice and bar-service standard operating procedures, techniques and standards is required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with guests and staff alike in both negative and positive situations.
- Experience in interviewing candidates, and training staff is beneficial for building a cohesive team.
