Personal Care Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caregiving and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. This role requires a nurturing attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Help with mobility and transferring clients as needed.
• Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Support clients in participating in social activities and community engagement.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.

Skills

• Proven experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of CPR and first aid techniques is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with group home or assisted living environments is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic health monitoring, including taking vital signs.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Understanding of social work principles and practices is beneficial.
• Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others lead fulfilling lives.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $11.53 - $15.02 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Morning shift
