What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Head Softball Coach position at CAMELS HUMP MIDDLE SCHOOL?
Camels Hump Middle School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated softball coach for the upcoming 2025 season. This is a rewarding opportunity to guide middle school athletes in developing their skills, teamwork, and love for the game of softball.
The season runs from April through the final week of May, with a five-day-a-week commitment that typically includes three practices and two games per week. Practices are held from 2:45 PM to 4:30 PM at CHMS, while games are scheduled from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
As the softball coach, you will lead practices, develop game strategies, and foster a supportive and inclusive team environment. Your role will include teaching softball fundamentals, encouraging sportsmanship, and helping players build confidence both on and off the field. Communication with players, parents, and school staff will be key to ensuring a successful season.
We’re looking for someone with a passion for working with middle school students. While experience coaching softball at this level is preferred, it is not required. Experience working with middle school aged students in any capacity is important. Knowledge of the game, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create a positive team culture are essential.
Requirements:
- Availability for practices and games as scheduled.
- An understanding of softball fundamentals and strategies.
- Previous coaching experience (preferred but not required).
- Experience working with middle school aged students
- Three professional references.
If you are excited about the opportunity to inspire young athletes and contribute to the success of our softball program, we’d love to hear from you!
