What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Cameron Appraisal District?
General Description of Duties:
Under the direction of assigned manger, perform routine maintenance of all rooms within the facility, maintains the district grounds, and performs all repairs as request by manager that may not require certified/licensed contractor.
Major Duties:
1. Vacuum all carpeted areas at least twice weekly.
2. Thoroughly clean all public restrooms daily (includes: restocking dispensers, wet mopping & disinfecting). Some days may require more frequent cleaning.
3. Kitchen area to be cleaned throughout the day and mopped after 5:00pm. Refrigerator is to be cleaned every Friday.
4. Lobby area to be wet mopped daily after 5:00pm.
5. All non-carpeted area's to be swept twice daily and mopped weekly.
6. Empty all trash containers daily and more frequently if needed.
7. Keep departmental copiers stocked with copy paper as needed.
8. Maintain board room daily.
9. Routine cleaning and dusting of all departmental areas within the office (furniture & fixtures).
10. Report any needed repairs to manager.
11. Replace light bulb as needed.
12. Perform minor repairs and building upkeep as instructed by manager.
13. Assist in moving of departmental furniture and fixtures as instructed by manager.
14. Receiving of materials when instructed.
15. Cut and edge the lawn when instructed by manager. Routinely remove fallen debris, trash and all other improperly place items from grounds (lawn and parking lots).
16. Assist with routine maintenance contractors when requested by manager.
17. Any other duties that may be classified as maintenance or as assigned by manager.
Education and Experience:
1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
2. General maintenance experience, operation of lawn/garden equipment and maintenance equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
